Boston Police report a 17-year-old didn't get far after he used a piece of concrete to smash his way into the Boys and Girls Club on Hazleton Street in Mattapan and made off with "several computer monitors, hard drives, headphones and a laptop" around 12:20 p.m. on Sunday. Read more.

Boston firefighters responded to 40 Hazleton St. in Mattapan around 9 a.m. for a fire that the Boston Fire Department reports displaced six adults and four children and sent one firefighter to the hospital with a hand injury. Read more.

Victim identified as Lovenson Pierre, 26, of Quincy.
Boston Police report a man was found shot at 4 Hazelton St., off Blue Hill Avenue, around 9 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 48 Hazelton St. at 7 a.m. for a fire that did an estimated $400,000 in damage to that house and the one next door.
No injuries reported; 13 people were displaced. The cause is under investigation, the department reports.
