Complain about them on Twitter:
... It seems that Comcast has gotten with the program, they even have their own Twitter account, and actively monitor Twitter and other sources for complaints. ...

It helps if you're rich and/or famous
I suspect Michael Arrington got the personal touch not because of his Twitter feed but because he's a very well-known person in the tech world.
Or, complain to the city
The upshot of our bizarre Comcast escapade detailed here last week -- some Comcast techs climbed a tree in our backyard (a tree that's partially dead and is about to be severely pruned) and nailed a neighbor's new cable line to it -- was that my wife called the Mayor's complaint line about it. Less than a day later, the Mayor's office got back to her saying that the appropriate officials had been contacted, and that day, a different set of techs came out and did the job correctly. We also got a most apologetic phone call from Comcast, as well as a handful of free OnDemand coupons.
What this says to me is that Menino is freaked about Flaherty's plans to run for Mayor and is trying to build constituent cred. If there's anything you've been wanting from the city, now's the time to ask!
