Yeah, taking out an ad for the sole purpose of congratulating his gracious opponent, how dare he. What a low-life.

Adam, Nice survey of Boston blog reactions to the election.
It was over quickly and the (electoral college) winning margin was wide, 338 to 156 at 12:45AM. I think that's a good thing. As a country, it would have been tough to have to go through another election like 2000.
Look at these voting demographics by age:
18-30 66% for Obama.
21-44 52% for Obama
45-60 50% even
61-99 53% for McCain
McCain had a winning margin with the age group 61 and older.
I'm eager to see how Obama's staff and cabinet selections signal the implementation of his desire for a new type of politics (not red states and blues states but the United States).
I think he'll ask Gates to stay on at Defense and I think he'll ask Paulson to stay on at Treasury - to help navigate our financial market crises and slowing economy. I also think we'll see some other capital "R" Republicans in his cabinet.
We voted in record numbers and we voted without too many voting shenanigans designed to separate a person from their right to vote. On these important issues, America won tonight. We accomplished something essential to out democracy, the transfer of power from one chief executive to the next without violence directed by the will of the people, We the People...
