First mayoral debate scheduled, even if nobody shows up

Well, nobody who's going for his fifth term in office; you know the other three will definitely be there.

WBZ announced Jon Keller will moderate a debate on Aug. 26, from 7 to 8 p.m. at 'BZ studios for livecasting on Channel 4 and 1030 AM.

Let's start a book on what excuses Menino's out-of-town corporate executive, Ed Fouhy, will come up with for this debate?

I'll start it out: 5-1 odds:

"The mayor cannot do a debate at a TV station that has a 'z' in its call letters - that would be unfair to other stations that don't have a z in their call letters."
