Help find Jeffrey Phillips

A friend who is a local with us at the Dogwood Cafe in JP has gone missing in Braintree. I'm reaching out to the Universal Hub community in the hopes that someone reading might be able to help in some way.
Jeffrey Adam Phillips has been missing since Friday July 24, 2009. He was last heard from via a cell phone call with a friend and his mother around 7:30 PM and he was at his house. Jeff had plans to meet his mother Saturday morning but was never heard from.
The Patriot Ledger has a few of the details on the case.
His Braintree apartment (Middle Street: Braintree, MA) door was found unlocked and several items are missing including a flat screen TV, X-Box and laptop computer. His pick up truck and cat were still at his residence.

White Male
Thin Build
DOB: June 19, 1978
About 150 pounds
This is not a high profile case with the Braintree Police so his family and friends are offering a reward for any information anyone may have regarding his whereabouts. If you have ANY information, PLEASE call Braintree Police at (781) 843 – 1212 Missing Person Case # 2009-10589.

Just curious
Was the stuff taken carefully (unplugged, bag/accessories taken...) or just ripped off of their cables? Has he talked about disappearing before? Has he ever disappeared before? Does he have any mental issues that might have led to him doing something like this?
Maybe you don't have this info, but I just wonder if this is an abduction or a case of someone not wanting to be found. Either way doesn't matter to how much I'm sure his family and friends would want to find him again, but it might help to determine if it'll be easier for others to find him versus convincing him he should do something to show up again.

Thank you for posting this his family is very concerned and deeply saddened by his disappearance. Any information at this point would be so useful and a reward available to anyone offering information that leads to his return.

The facebook profile photo is far too much work (requires logging in, at least, and not everyone has a FB account.)
Imageshack will host the image on-the-fly and for free, and even give you a link to paste into your post (which you can edit.) You want the "forum code".
Adam or someone else can tell you about using a "break" code to make sure the image loads on the front-page version (just keep it relatively small there- just his face, for example.) A LOT of people look at the front page of UHub.

I posted this on the other thread as well... but wanted to add it here too... I just want to thank Universal Hub for giving me and the people who knew Jeffrey an outlet for calling attention to his being missing... and just generally feeling like we were "doing something" by being able to post it to the community that reads here.
Jeffrey was a regular at the Dogwood in JP. We only really knew him through there... brunches and watching the Sox and ooohing and ahhing over pictures of his kitten/cat on his new iPhone.
Sometimes it's the people who are these small, regular, joyful parts of your day to day life that make your community great. Jeffrey was one of those people.
