yet. However, there's no surprise there, given the illogical policy Boston traffic reporters seem to have of not naming commercial establishments in connection with accidents or backups, lest they be accused of providing free advertising. That's why you always hear those vague references like "supermarket overpass" instead of saying "at the Shaw's Building."
Now, if somebody shot three people at the Sonic, the news reports would have no problem giving the name of the restaurant, and would even have video of their sign. But I guess the media hasn't yet figured out the meaning of the term "double standard".
I love the Sonic commercials. Makes the food look better, somehow. Last time I was down South, I saw a Sonic. I had never actually been to one, so I pulled into one of the parking spots where you give your order over the speaker and they bring out your order. I sat reading the menu for a good 10 minutes, trying to find something that appealed to me. Then I just drove away. Not one thing on the list compelled me to get it.
Now I'm wondering if Sonic will be the next Krispy Kreme.
I did a report in grad school on Krispy Kreme's finances...they were like the Enron of donuts. Yeah they overexpanded but they also made up a LOT of numbers.
I loved Krispy Kreme. I'm open to any and all suggestions for other doughnuts in the area to check out.
Re: Sonic, I lived in Missouri for two years where Sonic was hugely popular. I don't remember any of my friends actually ordering the food but we would go there for the drinks. Once the line calms down I'll have to check out the new one!
We went up that way at 5 pm (Sonic is on Rt 1 N, just before what was once Bennigans) and we thought the backup was just rush hour traffic until we saw the insanity at Sonic. We headed back down around 7:30 pm and traffic was backed up northbound past where we got off at Rt 60 in Revere.
That's at least 8 miles!

No mention of this on any of the traffic reports

Yup, who needs to get out of the car a burn a calorie or two
The limeades are OK but the rest of the menu is pretty bad.

I don't know where the
I don't know where the Peabody restaurant is, because their website tells me the closest one is in New Jersey.
BTW, the website sucks. Glitz > information.
What makes the place different from McDonald's? It looks like grease, fat, and sugar all the way.

Same people
Gotta be the same folks who lined up the first day at Krispy Kreme (and evidently, never went back).
