The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to the Squealing Pig, 134 Smith St. on Mission Hill, for what turned into a two-alarm fire around midnight.
The department reported no injuries from the fire, which came a little more than 24 hours after the Jacob Wirth building on Stuart Street burned in a four-alarm fire.

Stanley Staco reports a man was shot at Tremont and Burney streets, shortly before 8:45 p.m. He made it over to Smith Street, where some friends rushed him to a nearby emergency room - with a BPD escort. Boston Police report the victim died.

Live Boston reports Boston Police responded to a report of multiple gunshots at the Tobin School on Smith Street around 8:15 p.m. They found a gun and several spent shells and took several people into custody.
