The Boston Licensing Board decides tomorrow whether to let the owner of the venerable Blarney Stone, 1505 Dorchester Ave. in Dorchester, sell his liquor license to Yancarlo Fernandez of Dorchester, who is planning a new menu focusing on "modern international cuisine" and tapas, his attorney said today. A Boston health inspector yesterday shut Tasca, 1612 Commonwealth Ave. for a series of violations, most seriously "visible mold" on the interior of the restaurant ice machine and sausages that were left out for 90 minutes at 86 degrees. Read more.

The Boston Licensing Board last week granted Seven Star Street Bistro on Belgrade Avenue permission to buy the beer, wine and liqueurs license from Estragon on Harrison Avenue in the South End.
At the same time, the board awarded Estragon a full-alcohol license under a state law granting Boston extra licenses for certain traditionally under-licensed neighborhoods and city "Main Street" business districts.
Seven Star Street Bistro on Belgrade Avenue leans tomorrow whether it can buy a beer-and-wine license from Estragon on Harrison Avenue.
The deal is contingent on Estragon replacing the license with one of the new all-alcohol licenses approved by the state legislature to spur restaurant development in neighborhoods that have been losing liquor licenses to downtown and the waterfront.

The Boston Licensing Board decides tomorrow whether to let Gallows owner Rebecca Roth Gullo take over the Hamersley's Bistro site at 553 Tremont St. after Gordon Hamersley retires next month.
Gullo needs board permission to purchase Hamersley's liquor license.

Christopher Jamison wants to turn the shuttered Locke-Ober space on Winter Place into a new destination restaurant for the downtown set - right down to the fabled carved wooden bar that still sits there.
