The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to Corona Street, off Geneva Avenue, in Dorchester, for a fire on first- and second-floor porches that extended into the rest of the building, around 5:25 p.m. Read more.

Late Saturday night, a person in a car on Corona Street was shot. The victim sped off, driving through a vacant lot and clipping a house before heading down Geneva Avenue; police and EMTs found the person in the car on Geneva.
