The latest unofficial city election results now show just five votes separate Julia Mejia and Alejandra St. Guillen for the fourth at-large seat on the city council. Both campaigns have been collecting signatures for a recount of what, on election night, seemed to be a ten-vote election win for Mejia.

The Dorchester Reporter lists the steps the campaign of Alejandra St. Guillen will have to take to seek a recount of Tuesday's results, which show her losing the fourth at-large seat to Julia Mejia by just 10 votes.
Mayor Marty Walsh this week endorsed Annissa Essaibi-George for re-election to one of the four at-large City Council seats up this fall.
In District 5 (Hyde Park, Roslindale, Mattapan), at-large Councilor Michelle Wu, who lives in Roslindale, endorsed Ricardo Arroyo for the seat being vacated by district Councilor Tim McCarthy. Read more.
