Braintree Police report arresting an armed career criminal for last night's gunfire that ended with SWAT teams roaming a locked down South Shore Plaza.

David Parsons watched the horde sweep into H&M at South Shore Plaza early on Black Friday.
Ed. note: We went in the afternoon, when things were a bit calmer. But much of the second floor smelled overwhelmingly of stale popcorn butter - like a popcorn butter truck had exploded and they hadn't finished cleaning it up. Also, Lord & Taylor had a DJ at their first-floor entrance playing "Uptown Funk" cranked to 11 - who knew the store's demographic had changed so much.

There's this women's clothing store at the South Shore Plaza that's going out of business because its parent company is in bankruptcy. And all the mannequins are gathering in the back to plot their revenge.

Braintree Police report they are looking for a guy who allegedly used his iPhone to take photos up a woman's skirt at the South Shore Plaza earlier this month.
The victim confronted the suspect and describes him as an Asian-American male, approximately 5'6"-5"7", mid 20's, carrying a messenger bag and a black iPhone.

The Patriot Ledger reports the owners of the South Shore Plaza are trying to re-brand the mall as "comfortably chic" in a bid to attract the sort of people who otherwise might be forced to travel all the way to Dedham or Chestnut Hill to shop in the manner to which they've become accustomed. Based on the Patriot Ledger's description, the main change to date seems to be new signs, new comfy chairs and new uniforms for customer-service workers. Oh, and you can check your coat now.

Braintree Police report on this guy who travels up here with "stolen credit card information skimmed onto other cards" with which he then buys Macy's gift cards, then heads back home to use the gift cards.
On 04-26-14 the suspect was in the Braintree, MA Macy’s at 6:40 p.m. and purchased multiple gift cards and a high end pocketbook. These gift cards were subsequently also used in Flushing, NY and Garden City, NY Macy’s stores on 04-28-14 to purchase ‘Crème De La Mer’ products and high end pocketbooks.

The Norfolk County District Attorney's office reports it recently dropped charges of armed assault with intent to murder against three men because the alleged victim and the main witness - his sister - refused to testify.
Geraldo Lerouge, 20, of Hyde Park, Ricardo Clermont, 21, of Quincy and Milor Nerette, 18, of Randolph, had all been charged for the attack, in which the victim was allegedly jumped and sliced with a box cutter while coming out of a chocolate shop on Feb. 17.
