CommonWealth Beacon considers the decision by Sean O’Brien, a Medford native who worked his way up from Teamsters Local 25 in Charlestown to become president of the national union, not to have the union make an endorsement in this year's presidential election. It notes that a number of Teamsters locals have endorsed Harris, including Local 122 in Dorchester.

WBUR reports he'll get probation, no prison time for his role in threatening the show's production company and star for not going union when they came to Boston a couple years back.

Deadline Hollywood reports on how local Teamsters protested a "Top Chef" filming in Milton earlier this year over the show's not hiring Teamsters as drivers.

By the time Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi’s car pulled up to the Steel & Rye restaurant in the picturesque New England town of Milton just outside Boston, one of them ran up to her car and screamed, "We're gonna bash that pretty face in, you fucking whore!"

Two people filed complaints this weekend about Teamster parking habits outside the Schrafft building, at the bus stop and in the rotary:

Every time the Teamsters meet they park their bikes there and they are NEVER ticketed. If an ordinary citizen parked their bike there try would be towed They also park their cars in the Sullivan Circle rotary and, again, are never ticketed. Why is this allowed to happen?

Jimbo notes that 108 representatives voted against casino gambling and so he wonders why the Teamsters have only targeted four of them for defeat this fall, including Carlo Basile of East Boston and Jeffrey Sanchez of Mission Hill, but not House Speaker Sal DiMasi, who probably had a lot more to do with our continuing non-casino status.
