Transit Police report two "juvenile females" punched and spit at a 50-year-old woman and pulled her hair around 5 p.m. on Feb. 19 on a T bus in the area of Washington Street and Columbia Road. The teens then fled.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports Comfort Kitchen has opened in a long abandoned comfort station on Columbia Road in Uphams Corner - as a cafe during the day and a sit-down restaurant with a bar at night, featuring "the flavors and ingredients of the African diaspora - global comfort food - connected from Asia to the Americas."

Boston Police report officers who pulled over a car on Columbia Road near Geneva Avenue in Dorchester late last night pulled out a 13-year-old from behind the wheel - and that they then had to pick up the loaded gun that fell from "his leg area" as he was being pat frisked. Read more.

Update: Victim identified: Frederick Hines, 39, of South Boston.

State Police report a man on a 2016 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide "went off the roadway, struck the raised curb, entered the grass median and struck a tree" on a curve at Columbia Road and Babe Ruth Park Drive around 2:40 a.m.

He was taken to Tufts Medical Center, where he was declared dead.

SUV in question

SUV, with fresh damage from hitting a kid

Update: Police say they've found the SUV and that the investigation is continuing. WBZ reports the boy suffered broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

Boston Police have released photos of a white SUV with fresh damage to its right front fender, whose driver hit a kid at Columbia Road and Intervale Street in Dorchester around 7:20 a.m. and then kept driving. Read more.
