Cambridge Police report arresting two men in Harvard Square last night - one of them after "sprinting into traffic" on Mt. Auburn Street after police arrived and spotted his pal sucking in some nitrous oxide from a balloon filed from one of the five tanks police say the two had in their car. Read more.

Jeff Durham reports no injuries after a driver took out a wall at Fresh Pond Parkway and Mt. Auburn Street in Cambridge sometime before 11:30 a.m.

Shortly before 10 p.m., two men were shot on Mt. Auburn Street at Longfellow Road, right outside Mt. Auburn Hospital. Read more.
Cambridge Police report that one car parked at 221 Mt. Auburn St. had its window smashed, another had a window smashed and its in-dash GPS and radio removed and a third car had all four tires removed.
The Cambridge Chronicle reports a guy working on a scratch ticket while driving his Jeep down Mt. Auburn Street on Aug. 31 plowed into a utility pole, which then fell on four people. The driver was also injured when his Jeep landed on the driver's side. On a positive note, the guy won $100 from the ticket - which should help pay for his legal costs - the paper reports.
