The Boston Licensing Board ruled yesterday that Chez-Vous, 11 Rhoades St. in Mattapan, was not to blame for a November incident in which the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Morton Street got blocked by up to 250 kids, four of whom were arrested for refusing police orders to disperse. On Nov. 8, the Chez-Vous skating rink - right behind the B-3 police station - opened its doors for a police-sponsored teen event that started with police officers rapping with teens about relations between the two and concluded with some free roller skating. Read more.
An angry city licensing head today ordered the Chez Vous roller rink to work with police on a new security plan, after hearing details of a Feb. 12 incident in which a group of 14- and 15-year-old girls coming out of the rink threw bleach at another 14-year old girl during a melee on Blue Hill Avenue that left her with bleach in her eye.
