I arrived home today to find a USPS delivery notice form stuck in my mailbox and no mail.
The notice has a hand-written note from my mail carrier where I would normally fill out my own information and sign it to request delivery of something undeliverable. The note reads:
I am currently holding all mail for this address as I am unsure who the current residents are. Please put names on mailbox.
Is this for real? Can a mail carrier willingly refuse to deliver my mail until I put my name on my mailbox? No one I know *has* to put their name on their mailbox and they still get their mail. I'm not thrilled with the idea of putting my name on my mailbox for privacy reasons.
