Around 9 p.m. on Thursday, a roving UHub photographer snapped the long abandoned building at 499 Geneva Ave., at Vinson Street, in Fields Corner after parts of it collapsed to the sidewalk. Fortunately, she reports, nobody was hurt (unlike what happened last fall in Allston).
Developer Hiep Chu of Dorchester has filed plans with the BPDA for a five-story, $8.9-million apartment building at 185-191 Geneva, within eyesight of the Four Corners/Geneva stop on the Fairmount Line. Read more.
A woman riding a bicycle on Geneva Avenue near Waldeck Street was hit by a vehicle whose driver kept on going, around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday. She was taken to the hospital with serious head trauma. 617 Images reports the homicide unit was called in, just in case.
In the thigh, shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Park Street at Geneva Avenue. A car was found with a bullet hole at Bourneside Street and Paisley Park.
A man robbed the OneUnited Bank branch at 648 Warren St. in Grove Hall shortly before 11:30 a.m. Arriving officers spotted him not long after on Geneva Avenue near Columbia Road and, after a brief foot chase, placed him under arrest.
Stanley Staco reports shots were fired around 10:15 p.m. at Geneva Avenue and Vinson Street. About 10 minutes later, police found somebody with a gunshot wound to the leg a few blocks away at Dorchester Avenue and Charles Street.

Around 9:20 p.m., Geneva Grocery, 385 Geneva Ave., was held up by a man with a gun. He was described as 5'10", thin and possibly Cape Verdean. He wore a black jacket, a gray hoodie and a yellow ski mask.
Police are investigating how somebody shot on Geneva Avenue near Bowdoin wound up nearly two miles away at Mass. Ave. and Allstate Road around 6:40 p.m.
They were looking for a white Chevy, likely filled with blood, with one window shot out, seen leaving the scene - it wound up on River Street in Mattapan.
The MBTA has released a new schedule for the Fairmount Line, effective July 1st. The schedule reveals the opening of Newmarket Station and Four Corners Station. In addition, the schedule features 12 additional trains, bringing the total to 22 inbounds and 21 outbounds each weekday.
