So best avoid it this weekend.
Pru Tunnel
Brian D'Amico photographed the lane restrictions on the turnpike headed toward the Pru Tunnel yesterday.
MassDOT will be restricting lanes in the tunnel the weekends of March 28, April 4 and April 25 to allow for removal of an old and no longer needed noise-buffering ceiling in the tunnel.

Narrowing the Pru Tunnel down to one lane for ceiling removal is doing a major number on traffic on the turnpike today. At 9:20 a.m, Evan Allen tweeted:
Avoid the pike westbound out of Boston! It is not moving at all.
Around noon, State Police reported:
Route 90 east,Cement truck has rolled over on Exit22 ramp.Damage to tunnel walls.Cement and diesel fuel leaking. Exit closed.
MassDOT reports no structural damage to the tunnel but that the exit will be closed indefinitely as crews remove the remains of the truck, fuel and cement.
MassDOT was planning on restricting traffic in the main tunnel to just one lane in either direction this weekend to allow for removal of an old and no longer needed tunnel ceiling.
The Globe reports MassDOT and State Police will be experimenting with lane closures in the Pru tunnel this weekend as they get ready for a series of lane closures later this month and next month so workers can remove the tunnel's ceiling.
