The Supreme Judicial Court today upheld Frankie Herndon's conviction for fatally shooting his childhood friend, Derrick Barnes, in 2011 because he thought Barnes had snitched on him two years earlier. Read more.

Boston Police report finding a man, 26, with multiple gunshot wounds around 7 p.m., Saturday, at 11 Fayston St.
The man was transported to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. He is Dorchester's 19th murder victim this year (map).
