Don't touch that wood!
By adamg on Wed, 07/07/2010 - 8:03am
If you live or work in the Asian Longhorned Beetle hot zone around Faulkner Hospital (which includes parts of Jamaica Plain, Roslindale and Brookline), you're no longer allowed to move any wood out. City and state officials have set up two meetings for residents and workers:
For people who work with trees and wood in the zone: Thursday, July 8, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Franklin Park Clubhouse, Circuit Drive, Franklin Park.
For residents: Tuesday, July 13, 6 to 8 p.m., same place.

I'm seeing a pattern in the headlines here
Three-foot pythons, flaming manholes, and now wood-touching... something you need to talk about, man?
Hard to say
I've been juggling a lot of balls lately.
Don't be moving any wood around there
(giggles like a 12 year old)
Official map
This map is probably a better guide than the perfect circle in the link above. My house is a block outside the perfect circle but a block inside the official perimeter.

no wood
no wood for you. So we are not allowed to move wood now. Shucks, how can I have a riot to protest when all I have is a wooden baseball bat. Seriously though, I see their intentions with this, but how many people are actually going to pay attention to this rule?
