Trains die on three of four subway lines
By adamg on Thu, 12/01/2011 - 8:01am
So far this morning trains have had to be taken out of service on the Red, Orange and Riverside lines. The E Line is stopping at Brigham Circle because of a car accident further up the line. No word yet from the Blue Line.

Yet, there is good news
The first inbound train from Needham was on time today. HUZZAH!!
Let's hurry
And extent the commuter rail to the South Coast and New Hampshire ASAP! All problems are solved in the city!
Red Line from Braintree back
Red Line from Braintree back on track. No pun intended.
Maybe I should tweet my commute
Seems that every day that I have biked lately, I've avoided some (even nuclear) meltdown of the T system. Even when I took the T yesterday, I changed plans at the last minute and avoided the Red Line collapse last night.
If I could only figure out ahead of time or tune my clarvoiance... then I could put out alerts.
Maybe the biking is making
Maybe the biking is making the trains go on strike....
If bikes mean strikes, we should get going on the vaccine...
If bikes (or anything else) might mean a T strike, well, I think that there is already a solution for that. A happy side effect would be putting the T on sustainable financial footing by controlling personnel costs.
As I've said before, I know that the common wisdom around here is still that the French are a bunch of cheese-eating....blah, blah, blah...can't do people (I'm going to keep eating my freedom fries and be damned if I pay any attention to the giant (300K sq. ft) North American headquarters of Dassault Systemes that is opening up here in Waltham shortly) but they've got it all over us when it comes to transit (intra or intercity).
I think she meant "trains"
I think he meant "trains" going on strike, not humans.
Toronto uses driverless trains for SkyTrain. BART is largely automatic, the driver just watches. DC Metro is capable of automatic operation as well. I think what keeps us back is just system age, expense of retrofitting it, and general laziness.
The whole "hating the French" thing was a childish tantrum thrown by the Republicans when the French refused to support our debacle in Iraq. Why would that be common wisdom around here?
Subway Named Mobius
It could be worse in the famous work by AJ Deutsch the trains on the MBTA vanished into thin air.
Blue line
Is still chugging along. No alerts No delays.
