MuckRock files a Freedom of Information request and gets copies of 19 complaints filed with the FCC over Clear Channel's impending purchase of the local alt-rock station.

The presents an interesting question. What would happen to FNX if enough people complained leading the FCC to rejected the sale?

"Clear Channel could use this opportunity to improve their reputation among alternative/modern rock fans. You guys have a reputation as one of the main institutions harming this music scene. This could be a chance to not be perceived as a soulless, fascist, culture killing, money-grubbing, corporate monopoly.”

Any self-respecting alternative/modern rock fan listens to any of the many college stations, and has their program schedule memorized!

Oh, and those college kids at the college stations do more for the artists and scene than clear channel has ever done for anyone.

Hmmmph!
