Vasant Marur visited several of the street pianos downtown on Saturday.
Meanwhile, WBZ's Carl Stevens visited and played 74 of the 75 pianos - one, of course, is locked away from the public due to the federal semi-shutdown.

Love the Pianos
I know there were some complaints about the noise earlier this week – but I have to say I think these are nothing but fun. I have one at the top of my street in Brighton – I loved visiting it with friends who play, hearing the beautiful music walking by, and seeing all the pictures on social media of folks from the neighborhood enjoying themselves.
I played the one in Victory
I played the one in Victory Gardens. There were quite a few players -- young and old.
Kenmore Square T
I came upon one unexpectedly yesterday as I was leaving the Kenmore Square T station. I'm a bass player, not a piano player, but I did enjoy sitting down and playing some simple stuff for a minute or two. It made my day a tad bit brighter (although I'm not sure about those within hearing range.)
