Boston Restaurant Talk reports a deal to open a Wagamama on the other side of Fort Point Channel has fallen through, but that the chain is continuing to look for space in the up-and-coming area.

Im glad, Fort Point has a lot of great, independent restaurants and so far has been able to repel the chains that define the Seaport area. Have wagamama open over there, Fort Point is a great neighborhood and doesn't need mall chains.
