Gouda news for Roslindale: Cheese shop to reopen
By adamg on Wed, 04/08/2015 - 8:56pm
Adam Shutes of Roslindale reports he's bought the Boston Cheese Cellar and hopes to re-open the shop next to the wine shop on Birch Street in May.
The shop will remain as Boston Cheese Cellar, and remain as a locally-owned and operated cheese shop.
We aim to re-open in May, and are looking forward to continuing the good work that has gone before us, and to make Boston Cheese Cellar the destination for sampling, purchasing and learning about amazing global & local cheeses and specialty foods.
He bought the shop from Kathy Lacher and John Pierce, who closed at the end of February.

Great News
Eff all you people who are good with puns ...
Nice little shop run by good people; glad to see the change in ownership vs. it closing down for good
Will they have ...
Venezuelan beaver cheese?
Ahh one of my favorites...
The sketch that is.
"Not today sir, no."
That's where I learned all those names
As a kid I never understood a lot of the cheese names in that sketch, and to this day I'll see a list of cheeses in a sampler plate (or something) and be like, "Oh THAT'S what they were saying!"
Or the equally effective
"Oh, I'm afraid the cat's got it!"
Don't you mean grate news?
Don't you mean grate news?
Doesn't that make you feel cheddar? :D
I'll stop now.
Boston Cheese Cellar+Bob's Pita+Tony's
= all the reason I need to bus down to Rozzie Square. Good news.
And the Greek fish market....
... also has some unique stuff (such as giant Thessalonian beans) and amazing large olives.
Huzah!
I had heard rumors of this, but dared not hope it was actually true. Oh the cheese I will buy!!
