Ward 19 Democratic Caucus on June 6, 2015
ALL REGISTERED DEMOCRATS IN WARD 19 ARE WELCOME!
ROSLINDALE AND JAMAICA PLAIN DEMOCRATS TO ELECT DELEGATES TO STATE CONVENTION
Democrats in Boston Ward 19 will be holding a caucus on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Farnsworth House, 90 South Street, Jamaica Plain MA.
24 delegates and 4 alternates will be elected to attend the 2015 Massachusetts Democratic Convention, where Democrats from across the Commonwealth will gather to share ideas, meet leaders, and organize.
The convention will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
"The theme of our convention this year is ‘Train to Win,”’ commented Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman Senator Tom McGee, “And this convention presents a fantastic opportunity to get together with Democratic activists and elected officials from across the commonwealth and hear from fantastic speakers and engaging panels.”
The caucus is open to all registered Democrats in Ward 19, and the Democratic Committee welcomes new participants. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women, and all ballots will be written and secret. Youth, minorities, and people with disabilities who are not elected as delegates or alternates may apply to be "add-on" delegates. Details on the caucus rules can be found at www.massdems.org.
The Farnsworth House is a handicapped accessible building, and is on the 32, 37, and 39 bus routes.
The committee usually meets on the first Monday of the month at the Farnsworth House in Jamaica Plain, or the Roslindale Community Building.
