The puck stops here, Kenmore Square man says in suit against women's hockey league over alleged debts

Michael Moran says the National Women's Hockey League owes him lots of money for what he says is his part ownership of the league and time he spent working as the league's chief marketing officer.

As Michael Moran acknowledges in his suit, filed yesterday in US District Court in Boston, he has no written proof that league founder Dani Rylan promised him 40% ownership of the league in exchange for putting up most of its initial seed money. But that's because they "were friends and had been friends for years," at least before their friendship soured and he was forced out, the lawsuit charges.

Moran is seeking the $200,000 he claims he fronted Rylan to start the league - which, yes, has a Boston team - plus money for his time as marketing officer, all with treble damages and lawyers' fees.
