Broadway bridge shut after pedestrian struck

The Globe reports a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries when hit on the James Kelly Bridge around 5:45 a.m. Police shut the bridge for an investigation.

Does anyone know if that area has been re-opened to traffic yet? It (traffic) was awful this morning and I need to get around town near there again this afternoon. Hope someone who is traveling nearby can provide an update - thank you. Also interested in hearing about the condition of the person who was struck-as reported in the Globe, their injuries were life-threatening. There was a very heavy police presence there investigating the incident (and I passed through much later - 8:30 or so.)

this morning towards Copley around 6:20, and everything was fine on the bridges. The Globe says the incident took place around 5:45, but the timing must be incorrect.

I hope the victim recovers.

While I haven't heard any new about the person who was struck this morning, I can report that the bridge has re-opened. Good that they were able to do that before the Friday afternoon rush hour starts.
Hope to hear more about the victim during the evening news.

Speeding cars.

I ride my bike past this spot a couple of times a week. Cars are always driving aggressively and speeding over the bridge here.
Been nearly run over myself here more than once.
