DA: Argument between two friends ends with one fatally stabbing the other
Steven White, 61, was ordered held without bail at his arraignment today on a murder charge for the death of his longtime friend, Nathaniel Dix, on Intervale Streetin Dorchester late yesterday afternoon, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Prosecutors said the two men were outside White's Intervale Street home around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday when they got into a heated argument that a third person managed to break up.
Shortly after that intervention, however, White allegedly produced a knife. A witness reported that White raised the knife above his head and stabbed Dix with it, causing a fatal injury, prosecutors said. White remained at the scene and, in a post-Miranda statement, allegedly gave an account in which Dix walked or lunged into the knife, [Assistant DA Craig] Iannini told the court.
Innocent, etc.

You'd think by age 61
you'd have impulse control down to an art form.
Well.....
Age means nothing, especially nowadays. A person out of control is a person out of control. not matter how old he or she is.
Needless tragedy!
Mr. Dix was my good friend and I knew the perpetrator, too. I miss my friend and human nature has me hating Mr. White. I am glad he will spend his "retirement years" in prison.
Rest in Peace
I've only known Nathaniel Dix briefly....
I know him to be a good friend and advocate to a senior he and I was working with to help find housing. He will be truly missed and this senior will be lost without Nathaniel.
I will be praying for Nathaniel's family.
Rest in Peace
Gone but not forgotten!!!
RIP Nathaniel Dix. I happen to be friends of both men and the saddness i feel for both families who now have to go on with missing members of their family. Truly a tragic situation. God bless to all who have been hurt by this!!
It is imperative that we treat each other with more love and kindness!!
Tragic Accident
Having known both Mr. Fox and Mr. White, I am confident that this tragic end of a long term friendship was a horrible accident. There could be no way that the bond between both men could be broken over an argument over anything. Please know that Mr. Dix's family is not displaying any animosity toward Mr White and in the midst of their personal grief, hold no animosity to him or his family.
