Cosi apparently now Closi

Boston Restaurant Talk reports the three Cosi locations in downtown Boston appear to be kaput and that the CambridgeSide one might be done for as well.

I knew something would go wrong after they got rid of the steak and gorgonzola melt. I bid you farewell Cosi, my favorite healthy choice throughout high school and college

that was the best choice for a decent relatively healthy breakfast at South Station. This makes me sad. :(

Has great hearty and healthy breakfast bowls ( if they are still open)

This was my healthy go to place that wasn't a salad. They had some decent sandwiches that were good. This was my go-to place when I worked on Summer Street ~6 years ago. I know it was a bit ago, but not *that* long ago. It was busy then at lunch, makes you wonder what happened.

But yeah it's full circle, I remember when these started to open up.. lines out the door, and they kept opening locations (I think they had up six or seven at one point). It was a big thing.

Now they are all gone..

So maybe in ~10-12 years we will see "Dig Inn' 'sweet green' close and whatever food-fad comes in to replace it..

And got out of bankruptcy the next year. But apparently they are now having severe financial problems again since it is not just the Boston locations that have suddenly closed... their locations in other states are doing the same.

For me, their menu is just tired and uninspiring. Salty mediocre sandwiches and salads. People expect better than that for lunch these days.

Not part of the linked story, but the Seaport location also appears to be closed.
