Good place
To watch the fireworks
How deep is that thing anyway?
God forbid should anyone break through but if they did, would they be in danger of drowning? I've lived here all my life and I honestly have no idea how deep the deepest part is.
Not deep
Maybe 2 feet if it's full. This time of year I think they keep the level even lower. It's possible that it's completely frozen through.
Granted, I don't know how far a person would sink into the ooze on the bottom so guessing an adult might end up in to their thighs and it could take a crane to get u out of the muck!
If I remember correctly.....
... they used to drain it completely for winter and scour the rotting leaves away. Now they just reduce the water level. If you fell through, I doubt you’d be deeper than mid-calf.
I was going to say, speaking of remembering correctly
I seem to recall, ages ago, that people did skate on the lagoon, as if that were the 'official' place to skate rather than the frog pond. But I guess not, if they drained it.
At one time the city used to
At one time the city used to block the drains and then flood playgrounds for ice .3l
