Developer wins approval to replace 8 Hyde Park apartments it built in 2004 with 47 apartments
The Zoning Board of Appeal this week approved plans by the DiSipio Building Group to build a $10-million, four-story apartment building at 99-105 Fairmount Ave. between the Fairmount Avenue bridge and the building where the Fairmount Grille used to be.
The single building, to be called Logan at Fairmount, will replace four two-family homes DiSipio built in 2004; tenants there will get first dibs on apartments in the new building, which will have 33 parking spaces in an underground garage accessible around the corner on Maple Street.
The building will have a mix of one- and two-bedroom units, with a single studio apartment. Six of the units will be rented as affordable.
The building will also have room for two stores on the first floor and a roof deck for residents.
The BPDA board approved the project last November.

Tearing down 16 y.o. buildings?
What a waste!
