So the location of Punter's
So the location of Punter's is unlikely to be a bar again. AFAIK they closed on their own, but NU owns the property and it's worth more as something other than a run down, single story corner bar.
Our House East closed before these, as did the old Symphony 8 on Westland. OHE is now two connected bars, and S8 was replaced by The Westland, which is rather upscale compared to what it used to be.
Hopefully a new bar fills Conor's spot.
And if you want to go on a stretch, the Uno on Huntington, which did have a large bar, is now a bank.

Not ten weeks, I know, but I'm sure they're looking at everything in terms of their population density for fall.
Too bad
It's always sad when a good old college watering hole bites the dust. I was never in there, but walked by many times while getting shawarma down the street.

I can't believe another fake Irish bar closed. Dropkickism fading in favor of real Irish neighborhood places surviving for the most part (Exception: Doyle's) is a good thing.

There's a name from my past. I used to go there in the 70s as a student at the now defunct Boston State College which was located where MassArt is now on Huntington Ave, as well as on Ipswich Street where the old Boston Arts Academy building was before they tore it down to put up the new one in progress. The drinking age was 18 back then.
