Mark Smith took in the beautiful winter morning and a cross-country skier also enjoying the day, at the George Wright Golf Course on the Hyde Park/Roslindale line.

What's the deal with skiing there?
Can one just park in the lot and ski along the fairways?

... skiing, sledding and walking during the winter. It’s great that a wider group of people get to enjoy these spaces that are usually off limits to all but golfers.
I just spent the afternoon at one. They are ideal for cross country skiing!

Yes, you can. They do ask skiers not to go across the greens as they had damage from skiers a few years ago.

Not 100% sure why snow-shoers need to walk over most of the XC tracks but it's not frozen so it's all good.
