Transit Police have issued a BOLO for an angry-looking man they say attacked a woman without provocation this morning at the Alewife Red Line stop this morning.
Police say the woman, 67, was walking into the station around 8:30 a.m. when:
A male walking in the opposite direction suddenly and without provocation reached out and grabbed the woman by her neck and threw her to the ground. The assailant then simply walked away. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation.
If Alleged Angry Man looks familiar, contact detectives at 617-222-1050 or send an anonymous text to 873873.

There's never ever T workers
There's never ever T workers around at Alewife. How did this turn out?
A Tale of two T's
When the MTA in New York has a violent attack they work with the Transit Police and release the video so the public can assist them in apprehending the attacker. When a violent attack happens on the MBTA the video is never released and all the public ever gets is a photo that is useless and most of the time weeks later. The only reason the public even heard of this attack is because the Cambridge Police responded and notified the media.
Really?
I heard about this from the Transit PD, not Cambridge PD.
This is not to knock Cambridge PD, I'm on their mailing list and they're good at reporting on BOLOs and the like, but they didn't do it in this case.
I saw this piece of garbage
I saw this piece of garbage on the platform at jfk last week yelling at the air
What kind of mental health
What kind of mental health care will be free for the victim now? We already know it let this guy slip through the legal and financial and institutional cracks. I rarely see MBTA police. Defend yourselves, riders.
