Pro tip
Take your ice chopping tool and store it with a couple of bags of deicer of your choice at the end of the season.
Then, when you go hunting for your chopper, you will find a stash of deicing gold with it, right when you need it and can't find it.
Great for x-county skiing too.

I’ll take walking, running, being able to use basketball courts, playgrounds, restaurant patios etc over the current sheet of ice. Most agree because parks have been empty since the big storm. People with wheelchairs or strollers are especially screwed.
