I know the Sox have 10 wins out of their last 15 games but ever since you freely admitted two weeks ago that your "asset" isn't geared to win every year, people have not been happy with you.
Perhaps give these Boston kids a few decent seats and since we have to get up and clap for the guy who makes sure runway is plowed at Joint Base Cape Cod during the 3rd inning, make sure these kids get recognized as well.
I've got a co-worker who blames Boston Public Schools lack of statewide wins on bussing. I told him they were still the same kids just at different schools.
...your co-worker could be right. "Friday Night Lights" (the book) mentions how desegregation was used in an attempt to create football powerhouses. It's an interesting read.

There aren't many advantages at Boston's open enrollment schools these days but the opportunity to recruit city-wide for sports teams gets overlooked.
