Revamped restaurant could make a Basque difference for Beacon Hill
The Boston Licensing Board today approved the replacement of Bin 26 Enoteca, 26 Charles St. on Beacon Hill with a new restaurant serving food its attorney says will be based on "the rich culture and cuisine of the Basque region of northern Spain," from the Pyrenees mountains to the Bay of Biscay.
More specifically, Zurito will serve meat and cheese, much in the form of small plates or tapas, attorney Tom Miller said at a hearing yesterday.
The key players will be familiar to diners at the recently closed Bin 26: Manager Nader Asgari-Tari (in photo) had been Bin 26's manager for several years and among the restaurant's co-owners are Babak Bina and Jamie Bissonnette, who were among the co-owners of Bin 26.
Miller said that like Bin 26, Zurito will have 64 seats and a closing time of midnight,

two at our local Spanish restaurants, and Bissonnette is one of my favorite chefs. His new Korean and Japanese joints on Temple Place are awesome.

If the pizza has linguiça or chouriço
on it, it counts as Portuguese food. That was the closest I got to international cuisine when I was a kid.
