Subway hawk captured, is banged up, resting comfortably

After more than a week trapped inside the Andrew T stop, a red-tailed hawk was successfully captured with the help of a professional bird-catching company, according to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, which tweets:

The hawk from the MBTA station has some head & eye trauma, but is in relatively good condition. It is being kept comfortable. X-rays pending.

Just saw the video of the hawk "capture" on channel 7. I would say it was more like the hawk surrendered. The hawk flew into a window (twice) and knocked itself out once. It then partially fell into a hole in the netting where it clung upside down for a few moments before it plummeted a fairly long distance into the pavement, knocking itself out again. Then a woman who was there to rescue it picked the unconscious hawk off the ground, put it in a bag, saying it was in shock. Ch. 7 said it was being taken to Tufts Veterinary in Grafton. I know nothing about birds but would be surprised if it survived after what I saw.
