Channel 25 enhances snowstorm coverage
By adamg on Fri, 01/21/2011 - 9:57am
Realizing that bending down, picking up some snow and making a snowball is such a tired snowstorm cliche, a reporter at Channel 25 has found an improved way to alert us to the news that it's snowing. J-Mart tweets:
FOX25 has a new twist - reporter is bending down and brushing the new snow off to expose the old snow.

Crappy snow plowing
How about coverage showing what a crappy job Boston does plowing
streets with no cars parked on them. Beacon Street at Arlington
has lost 1 1/2 lanes.
Guess it doesn't help that there are a lot of cars out today.
Noon report
On Channel 4, Joe Joyce bends down, moves arm through snow to show that it is, in fact, snow.
Hey, Todd Kazakiewich of Ch. 5: If you're standing by the side of the turnpike, pick up some snow! Sheesh. Oh, phew, Mike Wankum makes up for Todd's lapse by picking up snow with BOTH hands.
Chris Lambert at Ch. 7 brushes some fluffy snow off one of those Marathon pillar things in Copley Sq. to let us know it's fluffy.
Know your TV winter jackets: Channel 4, blue, Channel 5, yellow, Channel 7, red. Wonder if they ever rumble with Ron Burgundy's crew?
Todd Kazakiewich
HA! I worked with him at at Top 40 radio station from 1999-2000. Good dude...once played an April Fool's joke on me involving a bag of coke planted in the studio.
