Car alarm works: Egleston Square man hears his, goes outside, finds burglar in car, grabs him
Boston Police report arresting a man on charges he broke into a car on Washington Street this morning. Police report they had some help from the car's owner - who heard his alarm go off around 6:05 a.m.:
Officers responded to 3055 Washington Street for a fight and on arrival observed one man standing over another man. Officers separated the two parties and learned that the man standing over the other had come outside after hearing his car alarm and found the suspect inside his car. The victim reported that he ordered the suspect out of his car only to have the suspect exit the car threaten him by pointing a screwdriver at him. The suspect then fled the scene and was pursued by the victim and caught at which point a struggle ensued until officers arrived on scene.
