Sketchy zombies

Sketched zombies

Many observers brought cameras to the annual zombie lurch through downtown yesterday. Ana brought her sketch book.

But don't worry, gore fans: David Parsons posted plenty of photos from the march, which, as always, started at South Station.

I don't get this whole zombie thing. Don't people have anything to do?

My thoughts exactly. What a bizarre world we live in where people dress up as something that doesn't exist. That is an hour (maybe more?) of their lives they will never get back.

What if the pillow fight people attacked the zombies? And then the faux-flash mob dancers started busting synchronized moves at them both? And then a crowd of spoil-sport cyclists rode between them all and stopped everything to make some point no one else understood?

I was on the Boston Common baseball field when they all marched by. There has to be a thousand of them it seemed like. Some of the jumped up on the fence at spectators yelling "brains" and "blood" etc. The whole thing was strange but fairly amusing.
