we dodged the bullet, but next time my winter disaster communications tips might help!
In Medfield I think we lost power for less than an hour today, but it was a reminder that reallly bad weather (even in '78 we didn't lose power, but remember that Quebec ice storm???)normal communications might be disrupted, and we'd be on our own. That's where my "21st century disaster tips you WON'T hear from officials," about using Twitter "Tweets" rather than voice calls on your cell (the WORST thing you can do because of the bandwidth required and likelihood you won't get through), downloading free software to create an ad hoc neighborhood WiFi network, etc. -- can really save the day. Enjoy.

Christ, is Adam the ONLY
Christ, is Adam the ONLY poster on this site that uses punctuation and capital letters? Who are these other nutjobs that can't be bothered to make posts readable?

You're not an it getter!
In this post 9/11 world, commas are a luxury we simply cannot afford! Are you trying to give sleeper cells ideas by advocating for liberal defeatist punctuation? We are at war. If you kids today are going to want your iPods you'll just have to accept the loss of consistent capital letters that comes with this post 9/11 world.
We're at war with the terrorist weather insurgency in a post 9/11 world and by pausing for commas we give our enemies the opportunity to strike! Grow up.

i think this must be proof
i think this must be proof of a continuing threat to capitalism
