Women's group endorses Golar Richie
By adamg on Tue, 06/11/2013 - 7:00pm
The Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus last week endorsed Charlotte Golar Richie for mayor.
Experience. When one considers the upcoming mayoral election, he or she undoubtedly seeks a candidate with unique experience applicable to the position. Groundbreaking: surely an ideal mayoral candidate is one unafraid to break down barriers and work toward change. And, in a male-dominated race, Charlotte Golar Richie shines like a beacon representative of these influential qualities (oh, and much, much more).

Women's group endorses the only woman running.
Don't know much about her - but her website doesn't seem to indicate anyone who's broken down any barriers or worked toward any change. A very dim beacon - like her male counterparts in the race.
May have to vote for that barstool sports guy.
As I've said - nobody with a real reform platform will ever get elected in this town.
The Peter Principle... that's
The Peter Principle... that's been her entire career.
Anyone who has worked with her or hired her has breathed a huge sigh of relief when they've had the opportunity to help her move up the political food chain to mismanage someone else's organization.
This I know from experience. Oh, and I'm female.
That endorsement happened
That endorsement happened weeks ago according to her twitter. And the WPC also only endorses women when there is one running who isn't a complete joke they can count on the WPC endorsement. Shes the only one.
Even further she was on their board prior to running. Hell of a get.
Thumbs up to Charlotte!
I think she has the potential to turn Boston around, not because she's a woman, not because she's of color, but because she has a pretty strong record for making real change.
Anon in bold, do tell us
Anon in bold, do tell us about her "pretty strong record for making real change."

As a representative for the
As a representative for the 5th Suffolk District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, she filed legislation for a $256 million housing bond that was passed in 1998. This bill ushered in significant improvements and helped to change a lot of things. And the work that she did for the Department of Neighborhood Development helped to fuel a number of neighborhood economies and ensure that people had quality and affordable homes. She also did incredible work for Youth Build USA, proving that she has the federal experience to do the job and make change happen.
That's my problem with most of the candidates around here
They think their job is to save the world with other people's money. And the moonbats call that doing a good job.
She had very little
of substance to say at the Mayoral forum on education last week and even seemed unclear on some charter/public school issues. I was unimpressed.
