Waterfront restaurant wants to add dances with pizzas
Salvatore's, 225 Northern Ave., goes before the Mayor's Office of Consumer Affairs and Licensing on Monday to seek permission to hire a DJ and allow dancing.
Why, yes, of course, establishments in Boston that already have licenses to play music, such as Salvatore's, have to get separate approval for dancing - and heaven help any establishment with music that is caught with patrons bopping to the beat otherwise (scroll down). Why, dancing is right up there with pool tables (which require approval from the city's other licensing board, and, yes, of course, Boston has two licensing boards).
The hearing starts at 10:30 a.m. in the office's eighth-floor hearing room in City Hall.
