Walsh says he can't rule out outside spending because a pro-charter group is planning to spend $3 million to get Connolly elected

WCVB interviews Marty Walsh, who says Stand for Children, whose financial help John Connolly rejected before the preliminary, is preparing to spend $3 million to get Connolly elected.
Walsh's comment came as he defended his decision not to take the People's Pledge which would penalize a candidate if independent groups spend money to assist that same candidate.

Bla Bla Bla
Really a link to an Yvonne article? The "Liberal From Down Under" should just pack up and head back there. She can even bring Larry Harmon and Adrian "?08" Walker with her.
Confused
Isn't Connolly a former teacher and supported by the NEA, wouldn't that put him in the Anti-Charter camp?
I don't get it.
Nope
He's pro-decent education for Boston children, so he's for charter schools.
Charters are not Decent
"Decent Education" means not turning our children's education over to a bunch of private corporations and cultists.
"private corporations and cultists"
What are Unions? Pretty sure BPS has turned into a public employment agency over the years.
Tea Party Dictionary
The standard definition of a labor union is as follows:
An association, combination, or organization of employees who band together to secure favorable wages, improved working conditions, and better work hours, and to resolve grievances against employers.
You sound like you learned about what unions are from Howie Carr when you should instead watch something like Matewan.
one year of classroom teaching experience
as an unlicensed teacher in a charter with small class sizes. + 2 years volunteer work at a charter in NYC. Not even close to being a licensed professional who has classroom experience in a regular public school.
He does not have support from the NEA.
He should really be playing up his experience on the education committee in city council (as he has experience dealing with BTU), instead of his "teaching experience" - which is somewhat offensive to people who are or know professional educators.
Connolly should say what he is
which is that he is a corporate real estate lawyer who started out at several of the top corporate firms in town. So not the "education mayor" more like the "BRA mayor"
This election is going to see
This election is going to see more dirty tricks than the old Hotel Avery!
Walsh has no independence
Will walsh show any independence. He is too influenced by outside groups that are bankrolling his campaign he will forever be debted to those outside groups if he wins. Please stand up and do the right thing marty
