I think that the duck was a mommy duck looking for Valentine’s Day treats for her little ducklings.

A couple of years ago I saw two ducks visit the Paul Revere House. Just waddled right up North Square and into the courtyard past the admission kiosk. Never stopped to pay the entry fee.
