What is it?
Senior dental students at Tufts Dental School are required to pass a Licensure Exam (NERB/WREB) before graduation. Tufts Dental School offers a free screening to obtain patients for the exam. All participants will receive an assessment of their oral health. Additionally, if you qualify during the screening, you could receive specific dental services at no cost to you as part of the licensure exam!
When is it?
Free screenings are offered on January 14th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. If you qualify, you can receive free treatment during a licensure exam on February 14th or 15th.
Who can/should attend?
Anyone can attend the screening – you don’t have to be a patient at Tufts Dental School. Everyone who attends will receive a free dental screening and assessment of their oral health. Participants might also qualify for specific treatment at no cost. You might qualify if you have one or more of the following:
Small Cavities
Tartar (Calculus)
Peridontal[sic] (Gum) Disease
You have not visited the dentist in more than 2 years

What if I don’t qualify after the screening?
All patients will receive an oral health assessment during the screening. If you are not a good candidate for the licensure, you can start the process of becoming a patient at Tufts Dental School at the screening, and get access to expert, comprehensive dental care at affordable rates!

If you need dental care, this
If you need dental care, this is a really good deal! I know students who have been through this program, and it's excellent care. They are students but they have plenty of experience in these procedures -- these are not first-timers -- and are carefully supervised. I'd encourage anyone to take advantage of this.

still has technical issues. Why? Excuse my language, but how fucking hard is it to properly design and set up, and why was and is the Affordable Care Act such a clusterfuck?
Don't confuse Mass. problems with the ACA
Yes, the Health Connector was a mess. I'll take your word the site still has problems (unlike last year, I found it relatively painless this time around, but I didn't wait until crunch time). The ACA, however, like the state program before it, have meant expanded health care for thousands (in Mass.) and millions (the rest of the country. You might want to look at Kentucky, of all places, for an example of how things worked right.
