Boston 2024 should maybe stop using Twitter to link to stuff other people write
By adamg on Wed, 06/03/2015 - 10:15am
For the second time this spring, Boston 2024 has used Twitter to link to something they probably shouldn't have. First it was that list of inspiring Olympics movies (the one that included one movie by a Nazi-sympathizing filmmaker and another about the aftermath of the Munich massacre). This morning, they linked to my contribution to Globe editorials about the amazing things the Olympics can do for us, such as getting kids to eat their vegetables.
As earlier, they quickly deleted the tweet, but not before people in general noticed and Jack Gately in particular took the above screenshot.

LOL
Just LOL.. didn't they read the comments below? sheeesh
corruption is easy in this town
you don't have to be very smart
If it's on the internet,
it must be true.
Oh, Do It Again
Please write another editorial about how the Olympics will make us more polite and open-minded, and improve our posture, shoes, and hair.
I'm still waiting to hear how
I'm still waiting to hear how the Olympics will make Boston drivers more courteous.
Or how the Olympics
will prevent future Storrowings.
You get bonus points if the
You get bonus points if the first letter of every line spells out something obscene, and Boston2024 still links to it.

Ha ha ha!
I know it's only 11 am, but I'm calling it: this is the funniest thing I'll read all day.
Buncha nitwits.
A Fine Example
Of how self-absorbed people with their heads up their butts are running Boston 2024.
Now You've Done It
I'll bet you're on their bad list. Uhub is now probably blocked at the Boston2024 offices. You are officially Olympic pornography.
After watching Tanya Harding
After watching Tanya Harding's sex tape I don't want to see the phrase "Olympic pornography" ever again.
What's sad is
You watched it (and admitted it)
*deletes copy of John Bobbit's porno off hard drive*
Ooops..
Why, Why, Why?
Forget the Michelle Kwan utube promo for 2024 they did this week.
Can we get the Nancy Kerrigan knee-capping video? And instead of "Why me? Why???" can we overlay Boston crying "Why US WHY???"
The ethics of the IOC these days....
... falls below the standard previously set by Ms. Harding.
Wait a minute
You mean the IOC actually HAS ethics?
Even a zero is still a number
Even a zero is still a number. Even negative numbers are.
The Globe
I've criticized their coverage of Boston 2024 so it was nice to see Venocchi write a column yesterday asking why Walsh was spending so much time and energy on the games instead of our current, real problems in Boston.
Admit it, Adam
This was your goal all along, wasn't it?
*chortle*
Long may Uhub reign.
John Henry on Line 1
I expect Adam to be contacted in the near future with an offer to cheerlead the Olympics via UHub. In return, maybe - just maybe - the Globe Direct outfit will stop tossing those lovely circulars at his home.
That's hilarious. In similar
That's hilarious. In similar news, the indicted ex-FIFA exec quotes a story from The Onion as if it were a real story.
[aside: When're we gonna see USOC/IOC hacks under indictment?]
I can't wait for the "Now
I can't wait for the "Now they're just being big meanies!" article from Shirley Leung...
Anyone read her column today?
I'm just not interested enough at this point.
I read the headline
I read the headline. She's arguing the public should pay for the Olympics.
If it meant
NO corporate advertising or sponsorships at all, I might consider that as a viable option.
Not the brightest of bulbs
Not the brightest of bulbs are they... oh dear. And Boston2024 wants to use our money to fund the Olympics? I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
ugh...
yes - let's pick on the intern managing the twitter account... I've been following noboston's twitter account and I'm getting more and more disgusted by the opposition's tactics. Not that I love the idea of the olympics in Boston, but now I'm actually rooting for the public to turn against these idiots who are actively trolling Boston2024's twitter account... they're not helping anything...
