John Gage got a good look at the French tall ship Hermione, which glided into Boston Harbor this morning. To her right is the Sagres, which came into port yesterday.

I personally am offended by this
monument to French colonialism. Why, the French subjugation of Indochina alone should at least warrant a hashtag from offended people of Asian color who have to sit idly by as white men, women, and children stand in awe of this ancient marvel of engineering without knowing the dark history behind it.
And I say that with all, ALL I SAY, intent of just making my position known and not any attempt to spread my brand across social media. Nope, not me, no sir.
Last time, I promise.
The Portuguese
I'm offended by the Portuguese flag on the Sagres, you know, considering the Portuguese started the European slave trade with Africa.

Oh, if only.
Yeah, I don't think so. The endless faux-butthurt of the privileged is a bottomless well.
you can visit it at Rowes wharf
I was in the area for something else and saw the huge line for people to get on board. They said they'd be opening up to the public again Sunday at 9am and that would be the best time to queue up and guarantee a tour slot since most people show up later in the day
Vive la France!
I, as a fourth generation American, respect the French, if it wasn't for their assistance in the Revolutionary War, we'd still be bowing to a Queen. Vive la France!
French Ship

Joke, right?
Saratoga is rather considerably landlocked.

Joint - Join't - Joined. (It's a play on words from both the time period, and what the folks who built the Hermione are: Ship Joiners or Ship (w)rights.)
Can't wait to see her, the Sagres, and everyone else who came to visit!
No obscure pun
Just a stupid typo.
